GEORGE NEWS - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 28-year-old man who was found with several gunshot wounds in Thembalethu on Friday night, 25 September.
According to Spies, police were conducting patrols along Mbewu Street in Zone 9 at about 22:10 when they were stopped by a member of the public who directed them to a nearby yard where they found the man's body.
"Upon further investigation, the members noticed that the victim had sustained several gunshot wounds and injuries to his arm," Spies said.
A search is under way for two men who are believed to be involved in the killing.
