GEORGE NEWS - A big group of avid trail runners gathered in Herold in the Langkloof, just outside George, on Sunday 1 January for the annual Red Men trail run presented by Chain Gang Events.
The race consisted of an 18- and a 12km run in the spectacular Outeniqua mountains.

The 18km men’s run was won by Jarlow Mongo, with Johnic Smith in second and Duncan Rennie in third. Julia Jansen van Rensburg took first place in the women’s 18km race, with Mary-Lee Botha in second and Sveta Becker in third.
The 12km men’s race was won by Diederik le Grange, followed by Troy and Shaun Schofield. The 12km women’s race saw Es-Mine Ligthelm take the win, Stephanie Marais in second and Tania Jenkinson in third.
