GEORGE BOWLING NEWS - George Bowling Club returned from Hartenbos at the weekend with a gold in the Ladies Eden Trips and silver in the Eden Men's Trips in the bag.
The semi-final of the men's event was a really tight affair, with the George Bowling Club team clinching their victory against Outeniqua Bowling Club at the very last.
In the final it was once again a nail-biting finish, with the teams even after 16 ends, but it was the Outeniqua Bowling club team that was crowned Eden Men's Trips champions.
In the ladies contest, the George Bowling Club team were too strong in both the semis and the finals, taking gold in the Eden Ladies Trips after beating the team from Outeniqua in the finals.
Both these sides were well supported by a great contingent of club members.
