GEORGE NEWS - A total of 36 local judoka took part in a Western Cape judo tournament in Paarl last Saturday and returned with bags of medals.
The team was accompanied by managers Francois Plaatjies, Jaqueline Boesak, Andrew Erasmus and coach Lilian Steyn.
This tournament formed part of the Eden trials formed part of their preparation for the national championships in July.
Although the team still lacks in experience compared to their Western Cape counterparts, they did exceptionally well.
Sponsors Agri Klein Karoo and Agri Herold enabled the team to attend this tournament.
