Arrows, who are now unbeaten in their last three league games, have moved above SuperSport United into ninth position on the log.
The first chance of the game fell to the visiting side in the 25th minute, a brilliant through ball by Sibusiso Msomi set up Tintswalo Tshabalala, but a smart save by the Arrows goalkeeper, Maximilian Mbaeva, coupled with a horror miss by Tlou Segolela kept the scoreline goalless.
Some good attacking intent showed by the Lamontville side in the 36th minute then resulted in a chance for Rodney Ramagalela, but his shot forced a finger tip save from Dikwena goal-minder, Mbongeni Mzimela.
Stars enjoyed more possession in the second half and carved out another opportunity just past the hour mark.
With ten minutes to go Ntuli was played through by midfielder Ryan De Jongh, but a pin-point save by Mbaeva denied the Stars striker.
The home side eventually broke the deadlock in the 86th minute as two substitutes combined to give them the lead. A flick on from Hellings Mhango was finished well by Musondo to leave Dikwena coach Cavin Johnson seething on the touchline.
“Once again our players fought for 90 minutes. Both teams are guilty of missing some sitters in the game,” Arrows coach, Clinton Larsen, said.
Meanwhile, Johnson was left disappointed after his team to failed to convert clear-cut chances that cost them fourth place.
