PROPERTY NEWS - With more people choosing to work from home, creating a quiet, comfortable space that is conducive to work is imperative.
According to research working from home is a trend that's set to continue. A survey of global business leaders in London found that 34% of business leaders predicted 50% of their workforce would be working remotely by 2020.
A report on Forbes highlighted similar results. According the Bureau of Labour Statistics, 24% of employed people did some or most of their work from home. The number rose when it came to managerial and professional positions (35-38%), with 68% of American workers expecting to work remotely in future.
With this in mind, a home office is becoming one of the most important rooms in the home. A quiet, comfortable space that reflects your personal style and needs can help you work, plan and organise more effectively.
Take a look at some of the colour schemes for home offices that are currently on trend:
Neutrals and naturals
Neutral colour schemes are calming and non-distracting. The addition of natural wood and plants brings a closer link to nature and gives one a break from all the technology. Mixing modern pieces with classic pieces is practical and interesting.

all-white
An all-white office creates a feeling of space and clarity. It can be a bit isolating over long periods, so introducing some plants would add some stress relief and a closer link to nature, which has been shown to increase productivity.
