NATIONAL NEWS - While the African National Congress (ANC) policy conference resolved not to use the term white monopoly capital, KwaZulu-Natal ANC chairperson Sihle Zikalala says those who don’t believe it exists are misinformed.
Zikalala held an informal discussion with journalists in Johannesburg last night to discuss the provinces politics and the party in general.
He says that he will support which ever candidate ends up winning the presidential race in December and no longer supports the idea of deputy presidents.
“In South Africa, I must tell you, we’ve got white monopoly capital.”
Zikalala insists that the party was misrepresented by Joel Netshitenzhe at the policy conference, adding that there were many issues that were supported that weren’t brought to the fore.
“But this monopoly that’s white in South Africa, its existence depends on imperialists, your companies that are in other countries. That does not need Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma to stand so that you understand it.”
