GEORGE NEWS - George residents had an opportunity to deal directly with Road Accident Fund (RAF) officials when the organisation brought its community outreach programme to Thembalethu on Saturday 19 September.
The outreach, held at Thembalethu High School, was aimed at bringing RAF services closer to residents of George and the wider Eden district.

RAF officials assisted members of the public with registering new claims, submitting outstanding documents and checking the progress of existing claims. Residents could also report concerns about unscrupulous attorneys and touts.
Claimants who have medical Undertaking Certificates could seek assistance and information relating to caregiving services, case management, medical treatment and invoices.
The initiative formed part of the RAF’s efforts to give claimants and their families direct access to employees who could guide them through what can often be a complicated claims process.
