NATIONAL NEWS - Community members have vowed to continue protesting at future court appearances of four men accused of the rape and murder of Franziska Blöchliger.
Yesterday, one of the accused abandoned his bail application, while the three others indicated they would apply for bail after the DNA results are available.
The 16-year-old’s body was found in Tokai forest last month.
Women from the Westlake and Kirstenhof communities, members of the African National Congress Women's League and staff from the Waldorf Constantia School all came out in solidarity for the Blöchliger family, who did not attend proceedings.
Many of the supporters shared the sentiments of Waldorf Teacher Jasmina Osman. “Enough is enough. It should never have happened in the first place and it should never happen in future.”
