Striking parliamentary staff call for secretary's dismissal
NATIONAL NEWS - The National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union (Nehawu) is calling for the dismissal of the secretary to Parliament, Gengezi Mgidlana.

The union has accused Mgidlana of being a dictator who docked the salaries of striking employees and went to court to interdict them from protesting.

Support staff affiliated to the union downed tools on Monday over a labour dispute.

Their main gripe is around the structuring of performance bonuses, which they say should be based on their annual salary package.

Negotiations to resolve the strike have broken down.
