Police officers in hot water over undercover Eskom logo fiasco
NATIONAL NEWS - Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) officers have been using Eskom branding on their vehicles to perform undercover operations, but without the power utility’s permission.

The incident took place on Monday in the east of Pretoria when Metro Police officers pulled a man over to search his vehicle for drugs.

The officers had pulled out guns and searched the motorist, but the officers had never identified themselves during the process.

Police, Eskom and TMPD are now investigating the matter.

Gugu Mnguni says after being held at gunpoint by the men who were driving an Eskom contractor's vehicle, he reported the matter to the Garsfontein Police Station.
