Due to make its official debut at the New York Auto Show later this week, the fastest and most powerful Dodge ever made features a completely stripped out interior saving 91 kg compared to the already insane Challenger SRT Hellcat, special Demon branded Nitto 18-inch drag wheels, Grabber bonnet scoop, heavily revised transmission, suspension, brakes and telematics, model specific launch control and the ability to switch 91 and 100 octane fuel.
While Dodge has so far declined to reveal any performance figures, the Demon, a moniker last used on a performance version of the Dart back in 1971, will likely use the same 6.2-litre supercharged Hemi V8 as the Hellcat, albeit with more power than the current 527 kW and 880 Nm.
More details are expected to emerge in due course.
