Despite being lightly revised back in June, the latest snaps by motor1.com depicting an Avant model on the frigged roads of Sweden, shows it wearing significant amounts of masking reportedly concealing the redesigned bumpers, door handles, mirrors and fenders, although the disguise-free headlights appear new along with the rear clusters that will again feature dynamic indicators.
While no images of the interior has yet emerged, it is being alleged that the A4, which in its current B9 form debuted back in 2015, will receive a substantial makeover like the incoming Q7, and boast the same dual MMI touchscreen displays in addition to the Virtual Cockpit Display instrument cluster, and upgraded materials and switchgear.
Although only forecasted to be revised in response to emissions requirements, the A4’s assortment of TFSI and TDI engine will be carried over and do without the mild-hybrid system like those used in the A6, A7 and A8. As ever, quattro all-wheel drive will be offered as an option on higher-spec models.
With the launch of the revised model having taken place only six months ago, speculation is that the more comprehensively reworked A4 will make its world appearance towards the end of next year, allegedly at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
