According to Australia’s motoring.com.au, Ford Performance Europe Head, Leo Roeks, remained coy on details when quizzed about the self-shifting Fiesta ST, merely stating that, “I can’t tell you, but I’m very busy,” accompanied by an expressive grin.
The online platform however claims that the auto ST could debut not long after the manual arrives Down Under in March next year, with the RS arriving 2020. Unlike the manual though, the automatic will be restricted to having five doors, with power from the 1.5-litre EcoBoost engine likely to remain unchanged at 147kW/290 Nm. No word on the RS’ outputs has yet been made.
