GEORGE NEWS - Dog walking is a fun activity for the volunteers and the dogs, and although it is not expected that the same people attend the dog walking sessions every time, of late the SPCA has been short of dog walkers.
The SPCA ideally needs between 8 and 12 people each time to give each dog the attention it needs - working with frightened dogs, grooming where necessary, playing with the young ones and loving them all.
Walkers need to be 16 years or older and no children are allowed, for obvious reasons.
Please contact Heather on 072 877 2911 if you are keen to join in.
Walking takes place on Wednesday afternoons between 14:00 and 16:00 and on Saturday mornings between 09:00 and 11:00, weather permitting.
