Unexpected power outage in parts of George

Most parts of George were experiencing an unexpected major power outage before load shedding at 8. Electricians are investigating.

GEORGE NEWS - The electricians are still looking for the fault following an unexpected power outage earlier today in parts of George. 

However, the Electrotechnical Services have energised alternative feeders to restore power supply to the affected areas. 

Power has therefore been restored in all affected areas which are George CBD, Denneoord, Bo Dorp, Fernridge, Heather Park and Blanco. 

Please be advised that load shedding still continues at 08:00 this morning as these two incidents are separate from each other.
