GEORGE NEWS - About 40 mothers-to-be attended an educational morning at Mediclinic George on Friday 23 February that was held as part of the hospital's Pregnancy Awareness Month initiatives.
The national theme for the month was 'Empowering Birth'.
Friday's programme covered a large variety of topics by speakers that included a paediatrician, dietician, chiropractor, physiotherapist and representative from the George Ear Institute.
"Pregnancy is an exciting time for parents as they prepare for a new life entering the world.
"Mediclinic would like to support new parents by equipping them with the correct information for this journey," said Judy Muller, patient experience manager.
"Through free educational support we would like to assist them in making important decisions.
"From ante-natal classes to breastfeeding and birthing options, parents-to-be have easy access to all the guidance they need, which will allow them to enjoy the special moments as they occur."
Gift bags were handed out and delicious snacks were served.
The event was concluded with a number of lucky draws.
