GEORGE NEWS - The first of a series of operations organised by Community Police Forum (CPF) Sector 1 took place on Friday 28 February.
Neighbourhood watches of Denneoord, Bergsig and Heather Park, CPF members, members of the Anti Land Invasion unit, local police, ER24, members of Friends of George and business owners of the CBD showed a strong presence on Friday night, 28 February, during a joint operation to clean up town.
These operations will become a weekly occurrence to make a drastic difference in the area during the next two months.
A clear message was sent that illegal structures, crime and drugs will not be tolerated in George.
