GEORGE NEWS - The identity of the person whose remains were found in a gulley next to the railway line near Memorium Street on Friday 10 September, still has to be determined.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sgt Chris Spies, the remains resemble those of an adult, however the gender, age and time of death still need to be confirmed.
"An autopsy will be conducted and would assist with some outstanding information. All these matters form part of the ongoing police probe," said Spies.
George police opened an inquest docket after the remains, which were already at an advanced stage of decomposition, were discovered at 15:15 last Friday while a security official was doing patrols in the area.
