GEORGE NEWS - The bail application of a local police constable (27), who allegedly raped his girlfriend's minor daughter, was postponed today until 26 February.
He was arrested on Sunday 28 January after charges were laid by the victim's mother.
National spokesperson for the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid), Moses Dlamini, says the suspect, whose name can not be mentioned to protect the identity of the victim, was arrested on six charges of rape after the victim told her mother about the alleged incidents.
She then escorted her daughter to the police station where a case of rape was opened.
He remains in custody.
