GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality, in conjunction with Coca Cola, last week Friday cleaned the area adjacent to Garcia Street in Borcherds and Lawaaikamp, next to the N2, of rubbish that was dumped there.
This area is a real eyesore as you drive on the N2 on your way to Knysna.
The Schaapkop River also has its origin in this valley below Borcherds.
Coca Cola approached George Municipality to clean an area as part of their Coastal Cleanup project.
A team from Coca Cola got the day off to help the team from George Municipality and a team from the Community Work Programme (CWP) to clean the area.
Grace Notshokovu from Cleansing said, the Municipality welcomes initiatives from businesses and the community to keep our town clean.
