The rally is organised by Cape Town's Nomads Motorcycle Club and chairman and rally organiser Luderick Jacoby says it's beginning to feel like they are coming home.
"Big news this year is that the prize for the lucky draw has been increased from R100 000 to R 125 000. Anyone who buys a ticket is eligible for the draw - which includes a second prize of R 20 000, a third prize of R10 000, and many more."
Contribution to charity
Furness says that construction of new buildings at the centre was financed by the Round Tables of Mossel Bay and Zeeuwsch Vlaanderen in the Netherlands. Mossel Bay's contribution came largely from funds raised at The Buff.
Tourism
Mossel Bay Tourism's Marcia Holm says The Buff has become one of the highlights of the town's annual calendar.
"We always look forward to welcoming the riders and their bikes. It is an exciting and colourful weekend, and the Mass Ride on Saturday morning is always a rousing spectacle that everyone enjoys. We're also very aware that rally-goers will probably be looking at Mossel Bay as a potential destination for when they're ready for their annual holidays with their families - so we invite everyone to visit the tourism office on the corner of Church and Market streets, and to collect copies of our 'Things to do' and 'Where to stay' brochures, and keep them for future reference."
