At the opening, Pastor Sidney Xolani Somathamba brought a motivational and inspiring message to the young people.
Part of the almost week-long programme was a visit to House Outenikwa, where some time was spent with the children as part of the church's social responsibility programme.
The visit proved to be a heart-warming event with the children welcoming their visitors with big smiles and enjoying the attention and being appreciated and not judged.
A march was also held where the ladies painted the streets blue, white and pink with their colourful outfits.
The church's soccer team played a game against Pheris United who recently won the league in George and have since been promoted to the Castle League. The church team, who get together only once a year, put up a great fight and managed to score three goals to the five of Pheris United. The tournament is called the RJ Khatoe Soccer Challenge after the late Brother Radithepa John Khatoe, who dedicated his whole life to the youth league and the church. The RJ Khatoe Man of the Match award was won by Siya-bulela Choky Williams.
"We are proud to say that the conference was a huge success. The people of George were great," said Lwandiso Cetyiwe, a spokesperson for the church.
"On behalf of the Youth League we also want to thank Mrs Blouw and her team for the catering. We are also grateful to Van Rensburg Restaurant, Tyolora Primary School and the Owner of African Express Buses for transportation to and from Outenikwa House."

The church painted the streets pink, white and blue with their colourful attire during a street march.
