GEORGE NEWS - Refuse removal of black, green and blue bags are back on track. George Municipality will be following its normal collection schedule this week, 7 to 11 September.
Director of Community Services Walter Hendricks said the municipality will make every effort to clear as much as possible of the backlog in black bag removal that resulted from last week’s unprotected strike, as well as the green and blue bags following the recent closure of the service provider’s area offices in George.
“If your bags from last week were not collected, please take them inside and put them out again this week on your designated collection day,” said Hendricks.
The municipality apologises for the inconvenience and remains committed to providing services in the face of ongoing challenges.
