GEORGE NEWS - Due to a second unprotected strike, residents are notified that refuse collection was delayed for the Monday collection areas. 

Only Blanco, Heatherlands, Heatherpark and Kraaibosch Ridge’s refuse will be collected tonight and residents are asked to kindly keep their bags out as trucks will be making rounds up until very late tonight.

Refuse that is not collected tonight in these areas, will be collected with the rest of the Monday areas tomorrow. These areas include Riverlea, Glen Barrie, Kraaibosch, Groenkloof, Blue Mountain Village, Herold's Bay, and Victoria Bay.

All the areas that are usually collected on a Tuesday will also go ahead. These areas are Levallia, Rosemoor, Conville, Protea Park, Parkdene, Ballotsview, Borchards, Lawaaikamp, Thembalethu, Wilderness (excluding Wilderness Heights), Touwsranten, and Constantia Kloof.

Further updates with regard to services that may be affected will be issued on an ongoing basis and the municipality asks the public to please check their social media channels and website for updates.
