Subjects included the architectural heritage of Oudtshoorn with reference to the impact of socio-economic factors thereon; the precious water furrows of Great Brak River, dating back as far as the late 19th century and some of which are still in use; the what, why and how of heritage surveys; historic buildings of Knysna; and the heritage sites of Pacaltsdorp and Eden.
It was a hugely informative day and some 90 people from around the Southern Cape attended.
Linda Labuschagne, researcher of George Museum, thanked Heinrich Muller of Just Water in particular for his contribution of 90 bottles of water for seminar goers.
