OCC: Another win for Ernst van Dyk

GEORGE NEWS - Despite the sweltering heat on Saturday (15 Feburary), more than 1 000 athletes took part in the annual Outeniqua Wheelchair Challenge (OCC).

Competitors from across the country, and the world, competed in this year's event - a highlight on George's annual calendar.

The main event of the day, the 42,2km race, was once again won by well-known athelte, Ernst van Dyk.
Van Dyk's time was 1 hour, 8 minutes and 36 seconds.

South African singer, Mathys Roets also took part.

The oldest competitor was 99-year-old Spasina Jansen from Rosemoor, George.
