GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEOS - The Glenwood Avenue Extension recently received its first public hydrants.
All the existing fire hydrants in this area are located within the private developments.
Access to these fire hydrants is challenging during times of high risk/emergency, therefore the Civil Engineering Services Directorate decided to rather install two additional hydrants along Glenwood Ave Extension.
The area north of the Glenwood Ave extension is a high-risk fire area, and the hydrants will assist the municipal fire department during emergency situations.
