GEORGE NEWS - The much anticipated Smart Paws Academy Fun Dog Show is taking place in the main arena of the George Riding Club on Saturday 28 May.
All the proceeds of the day will go to the SPCA and PDSA for much needed sterilisations.
And excellent news is that the Garden Route SPCA has kindly committed to do micro chipping during the show for only R100 per animal.
Dogs will be competing in 12 classes plus an overall champion class, while great prizes, stunning rosettes and certificates are up for grabs.
Entry is R30 per class. Registration starts at 08:30 and the first class starts at 10:00. All dogs must be on leads throughout the day.
12 Classes plus the BIG one:
- Best trick in under one minute
- Most appealing eyes
- Best puppy (under six months)
- Most handsome male
- Most beautiful female
- Best cared for/physical condition
- Best rescue
- Best golden oldie (over 10)

Fun day for all
Catering will be done by the riding club and food and drinks will be sold on a cash basis only. Various stalls will add to the entertainment and the little ones can have extra fun on the jumping castle. Go George and the Guide Dog Association will also be in attendance.
On the day Master of Ceremonies Sean Snyman will be replacing his George Speaker hat with that of animal rights campaigner by putting his voice behind sterilisation for healthier, happier dogs.
Donations of dog food will be much appreciated.
