With the aid of Liam Cilliers and Ryan Shipton, who barbecued the sausages, the women made some scrumptious hot dogs.
Nell is undergoing treatment and the group wants to assist in paying for all the help that she is being given at a clinic in Swellendam.
"Mr Meat and PJ Appliances donated the sausage for the event, Heather Park Spar gave the rolls, and with the support of members of the church, the morning was a huge success. Gaynor Young also donated copies of her book, Plunge to Fame, to sell in aid of Nell's treatment. Above all, we want to give God praise who abundantly supplies in all our needs," said Sharon Darke, a member of the Bible study group.
People wanting to find out more about Nell's excellent progress, may contact Sharon Drake on 072 356 4823. Nell, who worked as an auxiliary social worker with the ACVV for many years, is a much loved figure in the local community.
