A pot plant in a pothole!
An unknown fed-up George local, but with a great sense of humour, planted a hardy daisy type bush in a cement bag filled with sand and placed it in a deep pothole at the intersection of Knysna Road and Fourth Street. Bemused motorists couldn’t believe their eyes as they had to swerve to avoid the unexpected bit of greenery in the middle of the road.
But luckily the message hit home, and by the next day the plant was gone and the pothole fixed.
To the anonymous pothole basher: Well done from everyone in George for taking a potshot at the guardians of our roads with great effect!
