The purpose of the event is to familiarise the people of Thembalethu, including churches, businesses, ward councillors, schools as well as the families of probationers and parolees with the processes followed as well as the opportunities available to offenders from the moment a person is admitted to prison until release.

Attendees will be able to ask questions while representatives from other government organisations will also give a short overview on the role of their departments.
