GEORGE NEWS - The George Business Chamber hosted its first official Mini Business Expo on Friday 3 December. Both chamber affiliates and non-chamber members could participate.
The expo was hosted by Avis van Rental at its premises in Tamsui Industria, where 30 businesses displayed their products and commodities.
The expo was arranged in support of local businesses that have suffered the impact of Covid-19 on the business fraternity and provided the opportunity for them to showcase their business.
This platform also provided ideal networking opportunities for business owners and business representatives to meet and mingle in order to promote each other's offerings when the opportunity arises.
An additional fun element was that there were lucky draws for prizes which were sponsored by Algoa FM, Tiger Wheel & Tyre, Diskonto, Iron Mountain and George Arts Theatre.
Prospective linkages and cooperative opportunities were explored during the course of the day and attendees said they are excited at the prospect of similar initiatives and opportunities that the chamber will be arranging in 2022.
The chamber is committed to its affiliates, and the business community at large, and continuously seeks ways and means to support economic development in our area by promoting local businesses.
