The courses include the subjects Project Management, Research Methodology, Finance, General and Strategic Management, Labour Relations, Leadership Skills, Presentation Skills, Self Development, Contract Law, Economic Principles for Managers, Health & Safety, Integrated Operations Management, Stress Management and Marketing.
These one and two year part-time courses benefit present or aspiring middle and senior management who need to supervise managers, supervisors or team leaders.
The content focuses on developing leader-ship and acquiring functional competence in management disciplines to implement best practice strategy and achieve results within the organisation. The graduation ceremony took place on 23 April at Acorn Guesthouse.
Companies in George and Mossel Bay gave generously of their time to assist students with practical projects, among them Nestlé, Town Lodge Garden Route, Supa Quick, Diaz Strand Hotel and Resort, Bay Furniture Warehouse and Quickslab.
The Top MDP student Max Olivier said: "In the modern economy continuous learning and a willingness to adapt confer critical sustainable advantage. I enrolled to acquire the practical managerial skills required to become an effective and efficient business leader. This course covered all the major business disciplines and exposed me to ways of increasing business performance and profits while giving a powerful boost to my personal development."
