GEORGE NEWS - The local business world is abuzz with excitement in anticipation of the prestigious George Business Chamber Business Awards gala event this Friday evening, 24 November.
The 2023 winners of each of the five categories will be revealed at the awards hosted in the banquet hall of Bramble Hill International School.
The gala event is a formal black tie affair that includes a fabulous dinner with fine wines and guest speaker Hannes Muller who will share anecdotes about legendary actors and his own acting career.
Tickets have been selling like hot cakes and 22 beautifully decorated tables, seating 10 guests each, will grace the hall.
Adding to the excitement, George Herald, the media sponsor of the awards, will publish the top three finalists in each category in the George Herald on Thursday, one day before the gala awards where the winners will be announced and lauded.
George Herald will share the winners' names with our readers on Friday evening on Facebook and at www.georgeherald.com . Next week, on 30 November, George Herald will run a double page spread about the 2023 winners and this year's gala event.
Last year's GBC Business Leader Elsie Harmse of Africa Skills also scooped this coveted award in 2015.
The categories are:
- GBC Business of the year (The Best of Best of George)
