First day of school in George
The first day of school is always a special occasion, and 2025 was no exception as thousands of eager Grade 1 learners across George and surrounding areas embarked on their new journey. Local schools buzzed with excitement as young learners arrived with new backpacks, bright smiles, and a mix of nerves and anticipation. Parents and teachers worked together to make the day memorable, welcoming the little ones with warmth and encouragement.
