GEORGE - The George Music Society brings The Madrigal singers of Stellenbosch to George for a performance at the Arts Theatre.
The group consists of students and ex-students all of whom just love singing for the social enjoyment of it, like centuries ago. Their repertoire includes a variety of music styles from true Renaissance Madrigals (Monteverdi, Dowland) to modern composers - even one by Charles Chaplin. Led by Celia Vos, the group performs at the Arts Theatre on Sunday 25 April at 14:30.
Book your ticket at the Arts Theatre during weekdays from 10:00 to 14:00 at 044 874 3142 or purchase it at the door. Tickets cost R70 for the public, R50 for members and R20 for scholars.
