GEORGE NEWS - The South Cape Association of Visual Arts (Scava), opened a new exhibition, Collaborative flow, on Thursday evening, 14 March in the Sayer's Auditorium of the George Museum.
Chairperson René Scribante expressed her satisfaction with the selected works.
"These artists' creativity knows no bounds and their collective efforts have transformed the auditorium into a sanctuary of inspiration and wonder," she said.
Hein Botha led a 'motion mark making' workshop over two days prior to the opening event and Lynette du Plessis gave a graceful dance performance during the opening.
"This collaboration together with the artists' artworks produced in the workshop, also on view, has brought a new perspective, adding a dynamic energy and fluidity that resonates throughout every piece on display."
She expressed her heartfelt appreciation on behalf of Scava to Lorinda Hakimi, manager of the George Museum, and her dedicated staff for what they do for the museum.
This artwork was created by Hein Botha and 8 other artists during his motion mark making workshop: Anita McLaughlin, Gerda Smith, Helen Burton, Marietha Smit, Sonet Nelson, Tersia Hoffman and Vandana Premchand.
Scribante also thanked the Scava committee and Ian Tainton, who curated the exhibition, for their hard work.
"May this exhibition inspire you to embrace the beauty of collaboration and the transformative power of art in all its forms."
The public is invited to view the exhibition which ends on 2 May.
