GEORGE RUGBY NEWS - Crusaders' 25-23 victory over Evergreens in the final of the Mic Fin Premier League at Outeniqua Park on Saturday was the crowning moment of a successful season in the SWD top clubs league, with Crusaders setting the pace most of the time.
It is the club's first Premier League title since its inception 16 years ago.
Crusaders' experienced leadership and powerful reserve pack were game changers. Captain Layle Delo could rely on stalwarts like Christo du Plessis, Wayne Kahn, Arden Wesso and Dean Hopp. And in the backline, rising stars like the exciting centre pair Jaydon Onkers and Curtley Scheepers, made large inroads into the opposition's defence.
