GEORGE NEWS - Netball fever is on the rise as South Africa is hosting the Netball World Cup next year in Cape Town.
Locally, two young ladies from the dusty streets of Thembalethu were recently selected to represent Eden District at the Western Cape Netball Championships in Beaufort West as well as at the national championships from 10 July to 15 July in Witbank.
The young, talented ladies, Sibabalo Kalipa (17) and Asanda Ngcwangu (18), are both Grade 11 learners at George Royal Academy.
But, in order to compete in the nationals, they must raise R4 500 each and need some helping hands from the George community.
The money will go towards accommodation, food and travel to and from Witbank for the week of the tournament.
To help them fly George's flag at the nationals, please phone 063 283 6213.
