GEORGE NEWS - The award-winning George Business Chamber (GBC) is celebrating its 20th anniversary* this year by hosting one of the most illustrious events on the George social calendar.
The GBC Gala on Friday 21 October is set to be the ultimate highlight of the year - an enchanting evening not to be missed.
The only information available to us (from a trusted source) is that the evening will take guests on a journey through time.
And, in the spirit of making new memories while adding to our rich local history, excellence in the business community from all spheres in George will be honoured. Residents have just 10 days to nominate finalists, so don't delay - nominate an inspiring business or business leader before 2 October.
Shrouded in mystery
And another unknown... the venue remains undisclosed for the moment. Perplexing, but we believe it holds immense promise as rumour has it that the venue hails from a dazzling era gone by, now revived.
Adding to the mystery... a special menu has been developed for the gala evening highlighting cuisine indigenous to our area over time.
Tickets like gold dust
This exclusive celebration will have a limited number of tickets available. Be on the lookout for when bookings open to ensure that you get your ticket to this once-in-a-lifetime event. George Herald newspaper, www.georgeherald.com and www.georgechamber.co.za will let you know as soon as the precious tickets are available.
Investec, as main sponsor, has a vested interest in the economy of George, while George Herald, which has recorded events in the area for more than 141 years, has taken hands with the chamber to take you on a magic carpet ride through time.
