GEORGE BOXING NEWS - Boxing enthusiasts are in for a mouthwatering treat on Saturday evening when the South African Sports League (SASL) will be hosting a Boxing Fight Night at the George Showground.

With most of the promising young talent in the Southern Cape in action, spectators can expect a whole lot of bang for their buck.

There will be some high-power fights amongst the 21 bouts on the programme.

Fights that will most certainly deliver on their promise of drama and action are Joshua Norris vs Kamfa Xhelithole, Avriaan Pfaff vs Mtheli Jack, Chayse Norris vs Mbuyilelo Ndukwana and Johre Duvenhage vs JD Glinster. The main bout is between Luzuko Makuyekwe and Keegan Allpass.

With SASLs slogan of "Fear None Respect All" this Boxing Fight Night will be a memorable family-friendly night for boxing supporters.

Sean Norris of SASL told the George Herald they want to expose the Southern Cape to boxing and, hopefully, re-energise the sport with this tournament.

The venue at the George Showground, on the R102, is the first hangar on the right as you enter the gate. Doors open at 18:00 and entry per person is R50. Tickets will be sold at the door. There will be a tuck shop and boerie rolls for sale.
