MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The 19th GrootbrakGrabadoo started with bang on Saturday, 31 December, at the Great Brak Sport Grounds.
Mossel Bay executive mayor Dirk Kotzé was in attendance at the start, sending cyclists, runners and walkers off on their merry way. Even weatherwise, it was a glorious Old Year's Day.
Yet again, the event went smoothly and safely.
Cyclists could choose between trails of 15km, 36km, 58km, and 72km, while the fun walk was over a distance of 4.8km.
Over the past two decades, the GrootbrakGrabadoo has become a summer holiday must-do for families and athletes of different skills, and this year was no exception.
Runners, walkers, families and their pets are urged to diarise the date for this year's GrootbrakGrabadoo.
Since the last day of the year falls on a Sunday, this year's Grabadoo will be held on Saturday, 30 December.
