George team wins Eden Mixed Fours

GEORGE NEWS - Last Saturday, 28 May, saw the completion of the Eden Mixed Fours at the George Bowling Club.

The round robin stages of the tournament were played at the Sedgefield Bowling Club on Saturday 21 May and the play-offs the next day.

The semi-finals last Saturday saw the team of Dawie Davis from George Bowling Club defeated by the team of Piet Robbertse from Still Bay Bowling Club.

In the other semi-final, another team from George Bowling Club, led by Prof Stadler, was victorious against the side from Knysna Bowling Club, led by Ted Coetzee.

In the final, played in the afternoon, the team from George Bowling Club, comprising of Prof Stadler, Mike McCarthy, Johlene Bronkhorst and Petro Breedt, came came out on top with a final score of 25-15.

The third-place playoff was won by the team from Knysna Bowling Club.
