GEORGE NEWS - A George Bowling Club team emerged the winners of the popular revolving trips competition at Outeniqua Bowling Club that had teams from all over the region participating.
The matches in the event, which was sponsored by Warwick Wealth, was played in good spirit although competitiveness was paramount on the greens. The three players of every team revolved their positions throughout the matches, which was a challenge on its own.
The members of the winning team were Petro Breedt, Mike McCarthy and Henk Barnard. The runners-up, of Outeniqua Bowling Club, were Attie and Jemima Nortjé and Alhan van der Merwe.
The members of the Great Brak Bowling Club team that took third place were Marchelle Joubert, Hannes Bruwer and Margie Potgieter.
