The series consists of three events taking place first in Knysna, then the North West Province before culminating in the Western Cape in 2011 in the form of the South African finals.
The local series forms part of the Xterra World Tour and athletes will have the opportunity to qualify for the world championship final in Hawaii.
The Knysna leg is the only DueSouth Xterra event that does not feature a water discipline. Athletes can participate individually or in teams of two.
The three legs of the competition will consist of a 3km trail run, a 25km mountain bike race and a 10km trail run.
The DueSouth Xterra Lite race will consist of a 3km trail run, 12km mountain bike race and a 5km trail run.
The cost of the full race is R260 per individual or R360 per team of two.
The Lite version will cost R130 per individual or R180 per team of two.

goodie bag, complements of the sponsors.
Pre-entries close at 23:59 on Sunday 27 June. Late entries will be accepted on Wednesday 7 July from 12:00 to 20:00 and on Thursday 8 July from 06:00 to 09:00 (Lite) and 06:00 to 11:00 (Full) at Pezula Field of Dreams, however a late entry fee will apply.
