GEORGE BOWLING NEWS - The annual Boer and Brit Challenge was played at the George Bowling Club last Saturday, a tradition that remembers the Anglo Boer War a hundred years ago.
Club members dressed up as Boers or Brits to again do battle, but this time between members choosing to play on either the Boer or the Brit side.
All games were played in the spirit of friendship and camaraderie. The Brits were defeated with a narrow margin of 33-31.
Graeme Pollock won the lucky draw prize of two nights at the Battlefields Lodge & Sports Resort.
