GEORGE NEWS - Sunday 9 June was a very special day for the Southern Cape Nomads as they gathered for their monthly game at the Kingswood Golf Course.
The highlight of the day was the presentation of a cheque for R150 000 to Emmaüs, a culmination of the previous year's charity efforts through the Andrew Mentis Foundation.
The event was graced with beautiful weather, welcoming a field of 62 players to Kingswood. However, the course remained quite wet due to the heavy rains from the previous week, which was evident in the day's scores.
Divisional winners:
A Division: Wouter Kotze with 32 points
B Division: Michael Self with 31 points
C Division: Clinton Hall with 37 points
Best Playing 4-ball:
Michael Self, Wouter Kotze, Flats Huisamen and Christo Langenhoven.
The Southern Cape Nomads expressed their gratitude to Frikkie van Eck of FMZ Cellular in George for sponsoring the day. They also extended thanks to their national sponsors: SAB, Castle Lite, Stella Artois, Hollywoodbets, Diageo and Taylormade.
