FOOTBALL NEWS - Raul Stars Football Club failed another difficult test when they locked horns with "Umlilo" Burning Fire last weekend. Burning Fire defeated Raul Stars 3-2 in a highly contested game on Sunday afternoon, 28 November, in Lawaaikamp.
The five goals were converted by Akhona Lube (brace) and Siphenkosi Kanafana for Burning Fire, and Siyabonga Aseni and Sithembile Matshobeni for Raul Stars.
Burning Fire netted their first goal in the first 15 minutes of the game. Raul Stars tried to come back into the game but failed to convert their opportunities. Raul Stars have drawn one game and lost seven in the eight games played in the Regional League so far, and are sitting right at the bottom of the log, while Burning Fire is fighting to achieve a top eight position.
