GEORGE SOCCER NEWS - George Local Football Association (Geolfa) hosted the second plate of the Mayor's Cup final for the Geolfa second stream, the Promotional Development League, on Heritage Day at the Lawaaikamp Stadium.
Parks United's second team defeated Burning Fire's second team 3-0 in the final. The goals were scored by Mathew Barry, Kabelo Ntopo and Keggan Baron.
After one goal was scored in the first half, Burning Fire striker Simon Tshiza missed a golden opportunity to equalise when he blasted the ball straight at the goalkeeper.
The first half ended 1-0. The second half was marked by a tussle for more goals with both teams struggling to score from right in front of the box.
However, Parks United did manage to score two more goals to win the second plate of the Mayor's Cup with a score of 3-0.
